saurav k. / @ksaurav240
I do the
tech stuff.
I’m Saurav. I write TypeScript, mostly backend, and I’m learning Go. Lately I’ve been building a rate limiter and getting my projector to work without its remote.

§02 projects
Things I’ve built
Side projects, open source, and some client work. Each one has a page on what was actually hard about it.

valve
A TypeScript library that queues outbound API calls under one rate limit shared by every worker.
When the provider says slow down, every worker pauses.

A Go server that lives inside my projector and turns any phone into its remote.
Rooted the device, found an OEM backdoor, then moved in.

Why Rate Limiting Gets Complicated When You Scale Node.js
Inbound rate limiting is a one-liner. Outbound rate limiting, where your servers have to respect someone else's limits, gets messy the moment you run more than one instance. Here is why, and what you can do about it.

The Night We Forgot the Remote: How I Ended Up Rooting a Projector (and Finding a Backdoor)
A movie night without a remote turned into a deep dive through Android boot scripts, dynamic partitions, and an OEM backdoor, and ended with a Go server living inside the projector itself.

§05 experience
Where I’ve worked
Dec 2025 – Jul 2026
remoteEngineering intern @ Mindtrot Technologies
Worked on Mindtrot's out-of-hospital care product. Mostly building out flows, fixing bugs and keeping the heavier pages fast.
React · TypeScript
Aug 2024 – Aug 2025
PuneFull-stack developer intern @ Guru Branding Services
Joined early and got real work almost immediately. A year of CRMs and ERPs on Node and NestJS, with senior devs reviewing my code every single day. That's where I learned the difference between writing code and building something people depend on.
Node.js · NestJS · Express · MongoDB
§06 about me
About
I like knowing how things work one layer below where I’m supposed to stop. That’s how a missing projector remote turned into a rooted device running my own server, and how a pile of 429s turned into a post on distributed rate limiting.
Day to day I write TypeScript, mostly on the backend. NestJS, Postgres, Redis, queues, and the occasional third-party API that doesn’t behave like its docs say. Lately I’m picking up Go, and poking at Rust.
I learned the most when someone better than me reviewed my code every day. That’s what I’m after next: an internship on a small team that cares how things are built, where I get real ownership and get told when I’m wrong.
§07 get in touch
Drop me a line.
I’m looking for a software engineering internship. If you’re hiring, I’d like to hear about your team. Questions about a project here are welcome too.
